Sagor Som Leder Mot Slutet is a Scandinavian instrumental postrock/metal band mixing darker and heavier themes with gentleness and fragility. The self-titled debut album released with a unique forest soundscape, Post Rock Essentials calling it one of the best albums of 2016, eventually reaching #6 on the list. It got nominated as “Best newcomer” and “Best album”, bringing aesthetics and visual live shows culminating at the VIVID Post Rock festival sharing stage with bands like Kokomo, Syberia and Yndi Halda. The follow up studio album "π” is about reaching the far ends and depths of the world drawing inspiration from the sea. It is mixed and mastered by Magnus Lindberg (PG Lost, Alcest, Cult of Luna, etc) and recorded at Studio Gröndahl (Katatonia, etc). In 2019 Swedish motion picture “Iris”, directed by Mattias Olsson for Midvinterfilm (Försvunnen, etc), premiered and won best short film at the San Fransisco Indie Film Festival, for which Sagor Som Leder Mot Slutet recorded and performed the original motion picture soundtrack.
