Dwaal is a five headed doom metal mutant from Oslo, formed in 2014. Somewhere at the intersection of doom and post metal, their slow motion atmospheres are made up of heavy, sludgy, gloomy riffs, nauseating drones and desperately shouted vocals one minute, and minimalistic, melancholic melodies the next. A punch in the throat followed by soothing caress, followed by another punch in the throat. In April, 2017, they self released their debut EP “Darben”, which contains two tracks spanning 12 and 19 minutes respectively, and has received a warm welcome in the Norwegian underground scene. Now they have begun working on an upcoming full length album.
